Cab Rebuild

I was able to get the truck cab soda and sand-blasted at Nu-Tech Soda Blasting in Jefferson, GA.  It needed both because of the combination of old primer and bondo, plus a large amount of rust.  The following are some pictures of the cab before any work was done.

Before Pictures

Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pictures of the cab after it was blasted,  It cleaned up well, but I didn't have much time to get it primed before it flash rusted again.  So, I concentrated on getting that job done as quickly as possible.  I did it myself.  The following was one picture of the backside of the cab that I took after it was primed.  It looks like a big-ass woodpecker got a hold of it.

Lanny at Nu-Tech suggested that I chat with Andy Matlock at Resurrection Auto Body in Commerce, GA.  He mentioned that Andy did good work and should be able to help me with getting any type of work done on the truck that I needed.  I met with Andy and after seeing some of his current and completed projects, I decided to let him work on repairing the cab for me.  The following are some pictures that I took while the work on the cab was being done at Andy's shop.

During Pictures

You can see that the sheet metal needed lots of attention.  Several areas had to be cut out completely in order to be repaired correctly.
